Appliance leaks are quiet. A cracked washing machine hose or a loose dishwasher fitting can release water for days before anyone sees a stain, and by then flooring and cabinets are damp. The extraction crew starts with the source, then maps the moisture.
Tenants, landlords and appliance leaks
In 2010, about 28.5% of Oak View homes were rented, so an appliance leak may involve both a tenant and a landlord. Taking photos, reporting the leak in writing and keeping the drying record help sort out who handles the repair.
Under the cabinets and floors
Water from a kitchen or laundry appliance runs beneath cabinet bases and floating floors where it cannot be seen. Meters and thermal imaging find those hidden pockets, and removed toe-kicks or small openings allow air to move through for drying.
